Port-A-Probe, a product of Grain Value Systems

8109 El Monte St.
Prairie Village, KS 66208
(913) 544-4855

GVS - For 20 years Grain Value Systems (GVS) has been striving to create a more effective way to sample grain as an alternative to the hand probes.  With the concern today for identifying genetically modified grain and mycotoxins, we see a lot of opportunity for the Port-a-Probe in the grain and food processing industries.

By using the Port-a-Probe, grain samples can be taken at different depths  in the grain bin, flat storage, and concrete facility. This gives management a more accurate description of the quality of the stored grain.  Moisture, insects and other grain quality issues can be detected at different depths.  The Port-a-Probe obtains samples when the grain is not moving thus eliminating costly added expenses and the identity is preserved. The Port-a-Probe can be easily transported between locations.
