The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) recently hired Grant Christian for communications and marketing manager.

In his new role, Christian will use his background in marketing to manage communications and marketing efforts to support NCI’s mission of promoting northern-grown crops through its worldwide educational programming and technical support activities. He will shape a consistent and highly professional image of NCI in the marketplace by producing quality content, communications plans and marketing materials.

“I am excited to help promote NCI in the global marketplace,” Christian says. “I plan to use my extensive knowledge and expertise in the industry to enhance NCI’s image as a world-class organization.”

Christian is originally from Cottage Grove, MN, and graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor of science in marketing.

Prior to NCI, he was the media director for Absolute Marketing Group. Christian oversaw the entire media department. Clients and colleagues came to him for advice on what to do pertaining to all things media. They entrusted him with creating and executing a media plan that produced positive results day in and day out.

In addition to working full-time at NCI, Christian devotes a handful of weeknights as an adjunct faculty at Minnesota State University Moorhead, teaching Media Planning and Social Media Campaigns courses.
