The Andersons, Inc. has added Scott Tilton, PhD, to its Ethanol Group to serve as Food Animal Nutritionist and Technical Sales Advisor for its Feed Product business.
Tilton will be responsible for evaluating existing feed products and new production technologies related to ethanol co-products. He will also be charged with aiding The Andersons’ existing feed ingredient merchandising teams with tools to better depict ration formulation and ingredient cost analysis.
Tilton received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in reproductive management from the University of Missouri and a doctoral degree in swine nutrition from the University of Nebraska.
He brings valuable experience to the company as a nutritional science professional, having developed and tested numerous new products and ingredients for various livestock species.
“Scott has more than 20 years of experience, which includes leading animal nutrition research efforts to both understand base distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and evaluate protein separation technologies,” says Kyle Culp, senior manager, Feed Products Marketing for The Andersons Ethanol Group. “We are excited to add Scott to our team.”
